They were issued in both world wars, they're marching fifes. Is there any stamps or markings on it? They were made up until 1940. I figure they were used in marching ceremonies and the like, can't seem to find much info on them.

Trivia: The word 'fife' comes from the German word 'Pfeife' which means pipe.
