A bit of background: I'm somewhat of an aspiring military history buff who's been looking into the military history of Lithuania recently because of how my great grandfather, who emigrated from Lithuania to the United States in the early 1900s, was in the Russian army artillery.
My question: Lately I've been trying to look into the history of the Lithuanian Air Force from it's inception in 1919 to when it was disbanded in 1940, however I haven't had much luck. Most of the information I've found is from after 1991, when the air force was reinstated after independence from the USSR. Are there any specific sources I should look into for it's history from 1919 to 1940? Would sending in a letter or email or such to the Lithuanian Aviation Museum be a good idea? I don't speak Lithuanian, so English language sources are preferred, however I suppose I could translate Lithuanian text using an online translator if I have to.
