Where did the Indians stand economically, polically, and culturally by the end of the French and Indian war?

Also, does anyone have a general basis of how the Natives viewed the newcomers to their land?

The royal proclamation of 1763 stated that the Indians would retain their land between the Allegheny mountains and the Mississippi river. It stated that no settlements would be allowed. However it was not enforced and the settlers continued to move into the territory. The Indians in turn lost their land and were forced to move west again in order to continue the life that they wanted to lead. They continued to do trade with Colonists for European goods such as gunpowder, knives and cloth.
