Have there been any other people in history like Hellen keller?

We all know Hellen keller was blind, Def, and mute and some how learned to speak and write. Have there been any other documented cases of other persons in history experiencing/doing the same or similar?

To clear up this popular misconception, Hellen Keller was not born blind, deaf and mute, she was a perfectly normal infant until she caught scarlet fever around 18 months old.
