During the Korean War, the Soviets played a big part in providing arms to the North Koreans. There are several instances where Soviet pilots, dressed in Chinese uniform, were sent to fight U.N forces in North Korean planes. There were however strict rules regarding this procedure, as any captured Soviet pilot would be evidence of a clear violation of the USSR's "neutrality".
