If you're looking for some primary source material, read the Warren Report. Beyond that, I'm not sure.

There are scores of legitimate American historians who dabble and discuss the assassination to an extent, but I'm unaware of any one "Kennedy Assassination Study." Of course, Oliver Stone's film brought about a lot of discussion regarding the motives of Oswald (was he the result of forces within the military industrial complex?). However, other intellectuals like Noam Chompsky have pretty much refuted the idea that Kennedy would have withdrawn from Vietnam if he weren't assassinated. The internal record of the Kennedy administration demonstrates that he was absolutely committed to victory in that country.

If you're interested in Chompsky's book, look up "Rethinking Camelot." He addresses the assassination theorists and pretty much discredits them.
