I've been interested in this for quite some time, but in my experience it's rather hard to find information about this subject without stumbling into weird conspiracy theories and trying to separate apocryphal nonsense from actual fact.

My question is, basically, what was the deal with Nazism and the Occult? To my knowledge a lot of it was restricted to Himmler and the SS, but did Hitler or any of the other high-ranking Nazis get involved in this? Did they intend for this to be the state religion of Nazi Germany in future? How did this work with Christianity, which I believe the Third Reich did incorporate somewhat.
