I have read a fair amount about the British/Allied trenches, but would be interested to read about the German/Central Powers' perspective. German or English books would be preferred.
Erwin Rommel - Infantry Attacks
Ernst Junger - Storm of Steel
Achtung Pazner - Heinz Guderian
First two books written by decorated infantry company commanders in WWI.
Guderian served in signals and then became a staff officer, Achtung is not so much about his experiences in the trenches but about the lessons he drew from the German experience of the war.
