What would have become of Native American technology if European contact happened (say) 1,000 years later?

Depending on whether you're thinking of initial European contact (circa 1000 CE) or sustained European contact (circa 1500 CE), we're either dealing with a millennium of alternate history, or 500 years of alternate history plus another 500 of future prediction. In either case, it's not really /r/AskHistorians role to speculate on such extensive deviations from history.
