There is no Anglican church until we get to Elizabeth I - until then, it's Henry's version of Roman Catholicism with a couple of reformed bits in it. Henry is the only one excommunicated, first in 1533 by Pope Clement and then promulgated by Pope Paul III in 1538 - these do not apply to the English in general (this will change with the Regnans in Excelsis of Pius V against Elizabeth, where anyone who follows her orders will be excommunicated too).

There's no forced conversion because there's no real change in the religion, only in who is the head of the church. Henry puts this into law with the Act of Supremacy of 1534, but everything is essentially still Roman Catholic in terms of liturgy and practice. He removes some of the foci of popular religion such as shrines and pilgrimages, but reaffirms Catholic thinking in his Act of Six Articles of 1539.
