I see the Wikipedia article mentions Overton's book. Is there anything else available that's worth a look? Are there any prerequisite or ancillary books that might be helpful/useful for context?
I was quite fond of Langford's Oxford book ( http://www.amazon.com/Eighteenth-Century-1688-1815-History-British/dp/0198731310) because it also helps give a pretty good background of the prior effects of the Agricultural revolution. It stops short of getting into the meat of the industrial revolution though. It's strengths are some pretty good accounts of the changing demographics and overall growth (as well as the effects of said growth) including the Enclosure Act.
