At one point, the gospel of Luke refers to Adam as the son of God. Was this ever a cause for concern for Christian scholars?

From antiquity to the modern day, what have theologians said about Mark 3:37? Did anybody believe that it meant Adam and Jesus were of an equal godliness?

Consulting Ambrose's Exposition of the Gospel of Luke, Origen's Homilies on the Gospel of Luke, and Prudentius' The Divinity of Christ which also discusses Luke's genealogy, this idea does not appear in them. As far as I know, no ancient author considered "son of Adam, son of God" to imply that Adam was "son of God" in the same sense that they considered Jesus to be.
