Before his first exile, I believe his aims where to end the feudal system, conquer Europe, spread revolutionary ideals, etc. But on his return from Elba did he change his, long term, (short term was to stay in power, probably) aims in a realpolitik, or did he keep the same aims?
Generally, Napoleon had one real aim throughout his entire reign, he wanted a secure Bonaparte dynasty for himself and his family. Whether correctly or incorrectly, John R. Elting, in Swords Around a Throne described him as thoroughly Italian and worked to provide for his family. Every war he fought, (with two exceptions) he was fighting a politically defensive war to protect his throne and family.
Returning from Elba, his family lost everything, not just his family but his son which he doted upon. He wanted to return at least himself onto a throne for his own sake but the sake of his son. The Hundred Days wasn't a war of conquest, but aimed to secure the French throne that was going to be ripped away from him.
