Did any side use aircraft carriers in the Atlantic or Mediterranean theater during WW2?

Yes, the british used aircraft carriers quite a bit in the mediterranean. The most well known of these being the [HMS Ark Royal](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Ark_Royal_(91) which participated in the sinking of the Bismarck, and the [HMS Illustrious](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Illustrious_(87) which participated in the Battle of Taranto which was the first major use of shipborne aircraft, and the beginning of naval aviation. The British were also the only ones to use carrier borne biplanes, the Fairey Swordfish being the most famous of these.

The Graf Zeppelin was the only aircraft carrier launched by Nazi Germany, but it was never completed.
