This is an interesting question. I wish I had a better answer for you. I have seen Egyptian and Etruscan dental artifacts in museums, which you can also see at this website. I also came across this timeline of orthodontics. The only monograph I've been able to find is Orthodontics in 3 Millennia. Here is Chapter 1.
