Do Poles indentify as Germanic or Slavic?

It's a little weird question. I (as Polish and historian) identify myself as Slavic and as far as I know people around me identify themselves this way too. Poles don't have many things in common with Germanic people. But our culture, language etc. are similar to other Slavic nations' ones, so definitely we feel that we are Slavs.
