I'm writing a huge paper in my seminar class on slavery within the Abrhamic religions. I plan on using the primary sources, but I also want to find some scholarly sources that discusses slavery within these religions. Also if anyone knows of an article or book that talks about how southern slave owners in the U.S. used the bible as a way to defend slavery, i'd fid that particularly useful. My thesis would be to the effect of Religion having an impact on prolonging slavery.
