In World War Two, the United States successfully fought a war on two fronts-against Germany in the successive North Africa, Mediterranean and North West European theatres and concurrently against Japan in the Pacific theatre.

It can be argued that the Americans can't be counted as a singular entity as they were involved in the Anglo-Russo-American Alliance, but their contributions were substantial in both theatres (dominant in the Pacific) and were instrumental in dictating the time with which the conflict, on both fronts, terminated.
