Hey Reddit, I've been playing a lot of cool medieval games lately, but they seem to be focusing mostly on the Late and High Middle ages. I was just wondering what are some cool aspects of the early Medieval era in Europe I may be missing, and what are some cool things I could research.

EARLY CRUSADES!
BATTLE OF TOULOUSE (721)
Any of these things make really interesting topics!
-The Vikings got busy raiding and eventually settling all over Europe, evening discovering 'Vineland' (aka America/Canada) to the West of Greenland.
-The First Crusade saw over 30,000 Western Christians march thousands of miles to the Middle East to reclaim Jerusalem in the 1090s!
-The Battle of Toulouse in 721 saw early an Frankish army face off against an Islamic army that had marched up out of Spain into Southern France!
