I searched 'red army native' and didn't get anything back, so I hope this question hasn't been asked before.
Here is ethnical composition of more than 200 artillery divisions of Red Army in 1943. From A. P. Artemyev's 1975 book "Warrior Brotherhood of Ethnicities of USSR in The Great Patriotic War" ("Братский боевой союз народов СССР в Великой Отечественной войне").
Among them, you can see 2 minor ethnicities of Mongolic family: Buryat and Kalmyk. And 6 minor ethnicities of Uralic family: Karel, Mordva, Udmurt, Mari, Komi, and Estonian.
It's a little bit surprising to find Chechens and Ingushes listed in these divisions. I thought they all were sent to concentration camps to Siberia during W2W, as /u/ROBOTNIXONSHEAD said.
