I am just wondering if there are places where we can find the real blueprints of old war machines such as Sherman Tank, Tiger Tank, Mitsubishi Zero and Spitfire?
I dont mean just the different projections of the tank. Looking for more of it with numbers.
For stuff on the Sherman your best bet would probably be the National Archives. Look for Ordnance Department records in particular.
Alternatively you could try calling the MVPA or the Ordnance Museum, once they open again.
Keep in mind that documents from the Nation Archives are not free, you will have to pay a per page cost. Also keep in mind when you are searching that US Gov't records would refer to the Sherman simply as the M4, M4 Medium, or Medium Tank M4.
