Hi! Re-posting questions here is totally fine; just wait at least a couple of days before doing so. Many of the experts get automatically notified when certain keywords come up in the questions, so someone may have seen your post but not had time to answer yet. So give them a couple of days to squeeze it in with work and sleep and stuff (not to mention maybe being in a different timezone).

One tactic to keep in mind (besides the excellent recommendations of /u/Searocksandtrees) is to ask your question at a different time than you did the first time. I don't mean just time of day--though that can be helpful as well--but also the type of day. If you first asked on a weekday morning, try a weekend afternoon, for example.

Also, you can try looking through the list of flaired users for someone you think might know the answer and sending that person a private message. This doesn't guarantee a reply, but it can sometimes work. We're all volunteers here, after all.

I would echo the others who have posted already and say that first of, it is very much OK to repost a question a few days later if you got no answer, or only a poor one.

It also is a good idea to change the time you post it, as that can really change the exposure it gets.

On top of that though, I would also recommend looking over your question and considering rephrasing it. The way that you title a thread can make a big difference in how appealing it is for upvotes, as well as people to check it out. Check out our handy guide on crafting questions here!
