Hi There. I stumbled of this tribute video to the Iran-Iraqi was. The war footage looks like a mix of old and new. Some footage looks like WW2 or Vietnam. Is this all really from Iran-Iraq war ?
Can you be more specific as to which parts you believe aren't real footage? It's a 10 minute video.
I don't know a whole lot about Iranian equipment, but what I saw looked appropriate to the time period.
It's hard to believe, but the Iran/Iraq war began in 1980. This is as many years away from now as the end of WWII was to 1980. Having said that, if someone was to tell me that either or both sides were using WWII-era equipment, I wouldn't doubt it. Both sides did have Vietnam-era material.
That may be why you're thinking footage is from Vietnam.
