Most picture I see depicting the ancient city of Rome make it seem like just a mass of buildings and people- Did the city have anything like parks or public gardens? Were there trees lining the streets or hedges and flower beds outside buildings?
I'm not too sure if the resembled modern day parks, but they did definitely had public gardens. I did some base level research. If you would like to read more A Topographical Dictionary of Ancient Rome would be a good place there are multiple entries on Roman parks.
