The J & P Coats is a label from a thread spool. That particular one I think would date from the early 60's to the early 70's.

You might want to try cross posting to /r/whatisthisthing. They're awfully good at identifying strange things out of context. I think the safety pin thing that you've labeled "what is this" might be a pin used with a garter belt to keep up silk stockings? (I could be wrong.)
