I can't comment in detail on their rather tortured history since the end of the Crusades but certainly the Knights Hospitallers are still around. Today called the 'Order of Malta' they're a religious charitable organisation. Specifically, it fills a medical function; for example, I know of it because it runs an ambulance corps and first-aid training courses in Ireland.
