Hey guys, couldn't find a list(or anything related, really) of movies about Japan's feudal era(Sengoku-Jidai and the like). I love the period, though most of my knowledge was gained in Total War Shogun 2 and Wikipedia research. :p
What do you recommend?
Not an historian but I really enjoyed RAN, its an older movie and incredibly long though.
Samurai Banners (Furin Kazan sp?) Is adrama from 1969 depicting the Takeda clan... it's dramatized of course but is fairly true to history. Its good http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0064353/
Shogun the mini series. Throne of Blood (Macbeth set in Japan). The7 Samari . Also the PBS show empires did a documentary that covers the period which is very good.
