While reading about Hamilton's "Report on a National Bank," I came across this comment:
"By the time the First National Bank was de-chartered, in 1810, Treasury Secretary (and Swiss agent) Albert Gallatin, had succeeded in subverting its purposes. But the Second National Bank, chartered in 1816, took up Hamilton's intent, to the point that the U.S. surged ahead in industrialization in the late 1820s. The British used their stooges to kill it in 1832, with the totally false argument that it represented the major monied interests, against the population."
I teach U.S. History, and I've never heard this allegation before. My understanding has always been that Andrew Jackson killed the 2BOTUS. Some confirmation/insight would be appreciated.

That claim seems very fishy, but I'm not an expert on US history, so I don't want to act as if I am an authority on the topic at hand. I'm sure that there are other people in this sub who are better qualified to deal with the specifics of that theory.
However, I will say that I don't really put much stock into that article that you linked. The Schiller Institute is known to be affiliated with the LaRouche movement, and the article links to other articles written by Lyndon LaRouche. LaRouche is a conspiracy theorist well-known for his deep distrust of Great Britain, and LaRouche and his supporters have accused the British of being behind just about everything that is bad in the world, from the US Civil War to modern terrorism. This Wikipedia page covers some of LaRouche's batty theories, and you can search for "LaRouchePAC" to read more of the guy's conspiracy theories about how Britain is behind everything. I won't link them, since they would probably violate the 20-year rule of this sub, but needless to say it is rather easy to establish the idea that LaRouche is not a reliable source.
Edit: After spending some more time on that site, I came across this lovely article that basically implies that the British were behind the assassination of President McKinley. It also references the LaRouche theory that the Confederate States of America was created by British conspiracy:
The difference was, with the success of Lincoln and the Union, in defeating the British conspiracy called ``the Confederacy,'' the United States had launched a mobilization of industry and growth unprecedented in history.
I'm sure that /r/badhistory could have a field day with it.
