I recently discovered an announcement from June from the American Folklife Centre that they are creating a digital culture archive that archives websites dealing with, as they call it, "born digital folklore." It was expanded in September 2014 to include even more sites! I thought it was pretty neat to witness the creation of a primary source, so to speak.
