You should try phrasing your question in a way it suits the subreddit better:

• Ask about something that happenend in 1994 or earlier (so don't ask why it's happening now, ask why it happened then)
• Formulate the question in a more neutral tone. "What the heck" sounds like soapboxing (you don't agree with what happened, I assume) and soapboxing isn't allowed.
