I recently revisited a museum in India and saw the armour of Emperor Akbar there. It was a comparatively light armour and had to worn with a lot of chainmail etc. Pic1 Pic2

During this visit I suddenly realized that Henry VIII was in the same century and I remebered his armour to be a all body metal plate armour (just my words, don't know what you call that armour). Pic

I know both were kings and therefore would be important in battle. So, what were the differences in the military strategies and needs that led to Henry VIII armour on one end and Akbar armour on the other? I can clearly see that it would be hard to kill Henry VIII in such an armour but Akbar's armour doesn't seem that much of a protection and I know that Akbar did participate in a lot of battles. How did he expect to survive them? Was he too risky or is there some other strategy involved here?
