hi! Why so many for Germany particularly? I'm not sure there's an explanation in these FAQs, but they do address the general issue of why places can have different names, and where some of the names for Germany come from

In Korea, they're called 독일, pronounced dok-eel I'm guessing it's a variant of Deutsche

In Italy they're called tedeschi (tay-dess-ki)
