I asked a question about them a while ago. I was wondering about (academic, preferably) sources on the Vastergotland law prohibiting men from inheriting while in serving in the Varangian Guard. I read about it on Wikipedia but I need legit sources. Thanks!
What do you mean by "source"? Few historians doubt that the Swedish "landscape laws" are genuine, so people very seldom ask for sources on them. Unless of course you meant an academic interpretation or essay, in wich case i can recommend the book "Jarlens Sekel" (The century of the Jarl) by historical professor Dick Harrisson. Unfortunately, it is only available in Swedish.
