According to this site the Wehrmacht had 18 million people in service from 1939-1945. When the war was over, who collected their helmets, rifles, boots, uniforms, and what about all the equipment that was in storages/factories?

Did the Americans or Soviets recycle any of the equipment? Did they reuse it, sell it to other nations/groups, or destroy it?
