Ernst Frei and Erwin Borchers Were Two Germans who Fought for North Vietnam after Defecting from the French Foreign Legion... Could Anyone Spread More Light on Such Cases? Were there Later American Examples?
I found and read the following article on der Spiegel http://www.spiegel.de/spiegel/print/d-41972690.html and found that Ernst Frei wrote a book about his experiences, but I'm hoping to get a bigger picture of such cases.
There certainly were later American examples! I wrote (very generally) about American examples here, unfortunately I don't know too enough about Frei and Borchers to comment on them.
