So I'm aware this is a very broad question but I'm looking to learn a lot more about the Roman Empire as a whole.

How I'd like to study:

A broad book that gives me more an advanced insight into the timeline and key events of the Roman Empire.

More books focusing on either Key systems or key figures (I'm particularly interested in finding a good Nero biography).

Any recommendations welcome!
