I have two! Both are more like fact tidbits than stories, but interesting all the same.

First: Robert Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's son, lost his footing on a train platform and was almost crushed by a moving train. He was grabbed by his collar and pulled to safety by Edwin Booth, John Wilkes Booth's brother. Less than a year later, J. W. Booth would mortally shoot President Lincoln in the Ford Theatre.

Second: When Lincoln succumbed to his gunshot wound, he had a $5 Confederate note in his billfold.
