Does anyone have any opinions, positive or negative, on livius.org? It says it's maintained by a fairly well-known historian, but I've never heard whether or not it is credible as a source for a college-level research paper. Specifically I'm looking to use it as a source for the translation of the Behistun Inscription of Darius I in Achaemenid Persia. If anyone could offer their opinions, redirect me to another valid source for the translation, or redirect me to a more appropriate sub I'd be extremely appreciative. Thanks!
My initial look says it's legit, but I personally would not cite it as a source. It would however be a good place to start if you are stuck on something. Even though Wikipedia is not a credible source, if I'm stuck I'll go there to see if there is something I might be missing, and then go to legit sources to verify and actually cite.
