So, I'm currently writing a research paper required for earning credit in a U.S. History class and I'm running a little short on ideas for a thesis statement. Apparently, there are very few books or informative resources for the (esoteric) time period and the whole end of an age quandary that came with closing the frontier.
There's so much stuff that seems untold about what I wanna know, like, how did the influx of Chinese/Japanese immigrants influence the growth of industry? How did the growth of industry expand political interests and develop innovation in the fields of logging, transportation, and communication? I'm really interested in the history of (especially) the Pacific Northwest, and it's disappointing to find so few resources about it. I don't just want to write a paper, I legitimately want to learn about it.
From what you've written, it sounds like you're casting a super-huge net that's unmanageably large. What are you interested in?
