War of 1812 present?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question. Christmas is coming up and I would like to give my father a gift that centers around the War of 1812. My father loves this war and owns alot of historical pieces from this time. I was thinking about trying to find a super cool looking T-shirt or a mug that centers around this time. If someone knows of another gift I am open to suggests!

If he is interested in the Naval side of the War of 1812, you might try the gift shop at the USS Constitution Museum for ideas.

Perhaps he would like my historical novel, "Madness: The War of 1812," (Tate Publishing, 2012) It's a story of what it was like for ordinary people to fight in possibly America's most botched, yet least understood and perhaps one of its most consequential wars.

Madness tells how a young Irish-American immigrant, Will Quinn, embittered by the oppressions visited upon his family by the English, now finds himself facing the real prospect that his beloved new nation and his family would once again suffer under the tyrannical rule of John Bull. Quinn, a junior U.S. army officer, is not unlike his adopted nation, impetuous and angry, determined to win the respect and liberty that is the right of every person and nation.

Traveling with Quinn through this history are Sally, his beautiful, young friend; Sgt. Maj. Frake, a Kentucky sharpshooter who takes the green Quinn under his wing, and Henry, a fugitive slave who plays an unexpected and important role in the war. All the battles and events in which they find themselves are real.

It's an easy read and a quick introduction to the war for folks who might not be aware of its importance. It's  available in softcover and digital formats from Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other booksellers. Details are found at www.madness1812.com where it can be ordered directly from me.

Merry Christmas to you and your father.
