What happened to Hitler's body when he died?

On May 4th, Hitler's body was found, and on May 5th it was transported to Buch, where the SMERSH headquarters was. This is where dental records were compared and confirmed by Hitler's dental staff.

On May 7th, Moscow was informed of the discovery and we did not hear much until 1970, where Kremlin claimed that they buried the body in Madgeburg.

It wasn't until the 1990's that the Russians claimed that they exhumed the body, burned it and flushed the ashes down the toilet.

It is reported that SMERSH kept the jaw of Hitler, and the Cranium is in the possession of the NKVD. It is widely believed that the jaw is still at the Moscow's secret Police Headquarters, Lubyanka.

I apologize for the brief explanation, but this is all we really know about what happened due to the fact that Stalin did everything he could to keep this discovery a secret and the Russians refuse to allow DNA testing.

It is unknown what exactly happened to him due to..... Unreliable witnesses.... However the most likely scenario was what the people in the fürherbunker at the time of his suicide claim to have happened. Supposedly, in an attempt to avoid the same fate as Mussolini (who was executed and hung by the ankles, then left in the gutter to be spat on by civilians) he ordered himself to be cremated. Appeared you after shooting himself, his body and Eva Braun's were brought outside the fürherbunker, then tossed into a shell crater, before being dowsed in gas and burned.

Other claims are very questionable and somewhat unverifiable (not to say that the first one is 100% genuine). The soviets claimed to have found to found a skull fragment of Hitler. This was later confirmed to be untrue and the skull turned out to be female and forty (not Eva Braun or Hitler). There have also been claims that the spetsnaz found his body, cremated it and dumped it into a river, and that he may have even lived, and escaped to South America.
