I know that one big mistake was the casting of the actor who plays Henry the 8th since Kong Henry was a fat bastard. But what if the rest of the show?

Well to the first point the portrayal of King Henry as thin is actually accurate for the first couple of seasons of the show. Our modern conception of the King is based on post 1536 when he fell from a horse and no longer exercised thus causing him to greatly expand in weight. The Tudors starts when The King is in his mid 20s and at the time people described him as very handsome and charismatic as well as a great athlete. However that only applys for the first two seasons at some point in the third is when he should be fat but the show does not do that. The other funny historical inaccuracy of the show is the time when the creators of the show accidentally killed of the entire royal line by saying that Princess Margaret had no children which wipes out Mary Queen of Scots who in turn means no James I thus the entire history of England is changed forever.
