What medal is this?

Hi reddit! I hope this is an appropriate question for this sub.

I found this medal about twenty years ago while digging in my front yard in Orange Beach, AL on Terry Cove. The most I am able to find is that it is possibly Serbian and something to do with the Order of the White Eagle. Any help with identifying this would be greatly appreciated!

This isn't really my area of expertise, that being said, it's definitely an Order of the White Eagle Cross, but it seems, at least to me, unique, are those skeletons I see in between the 4 points of the cross?

All that aside, I have seen some of those medals, albeit with the paint and in VG to VG+ go for some pretty high numbers so you might want to ask an expert just to be sure.

I've spent the better part of my day at work trying to find this thing on the internet, with nothing matching exactly. OP do you think part of the medal is missing? What does it look like on the back? Its definitely Serbian (crest and mutated chickens) but every medal I've seen for the order of the white eagle has a different background. It's also possible (but I'm only speculating) that its a knock-off. Every time I've been to an outdoor market in Poland there are loads of knock-off medals with only slight differences from the originals.

Its Definitely Serbian, & Definitely Related to the Order of the White Eagle but I've never seen it mounted upon that backing. Therefore I suspect it may be some form of Chetnik/Paramilitary medal/badge from either the 1940s or 1990s
