Native American diets vary HUGELY across geographical and cultural distance, but there's been a lot of work on traditional foodways and a lot of current cultural revitalization and community health initiatives use first foods as their basis. I can offer some examples if this is what you're curious about.
But seriously, there has to a section specially for food history.
For instance, I was reading a book set in the 1600s in Northern India, and the author describes a feast. It was said to filled with tomatoes and onions and lot of other stuff, but I remember reading somewhere that tomatoes were very new to India, possibly as late as the early 1800s, so, that set me thinking.
