Hi! We're making a video that visualizes the popularity of baby names from 1880 to 2013. For each year in the video, a small box displays the historical events that happened. About half the events are data-related (e.g. Linda surpassed Mary), and the other half give historical context.
We're working on the girls' names first, and we'd like to make sure that there aren't any glaring errors with the historical info. Could you double-check these images? Let us know if something's wrong. This is a video we're making for fun, and we would greatly appreciate it if we could get some feedback!
Also, there are a few boosts in popularity of names that I can't quite pin down the causes of, or I found two causes and don't know which is more significant.

Just speculation, but the name Peyton, might have been boosted by the character, Peyton Sawyer, in the popular TV show, "One Tree Hill", (2003-2012) played by Hilarie Burton?
Speculation on Shelby, November 1989, Steel Magnolias was released. Julia Roberts played the main character, name is Shelby.
Peyton could be after Peyton Manning, MVP of the 2007 Super Bowl.
Brittany was just a trendy girls name in the 80s and 90s. Note that Britney Spears was not a cause, but an effect of the Brittany boom. Many people also believe that the large number of Shirley's in the 1930s was caused by Shirley Temple, even though Shirley Temple was an effect of the Shirley boom.
