So my boss tried to get me to watch this video today. (warning it is almost 2 hours long)
Some of the things that were presented as "fact" are:
that in 1861 the states that seceded from the union had the legal right to do so since the constitution is a contract.
after secession the United States ceased to exist, therefore Abraham Lincoln was not actually president.
The United States Supreme Court was dissolved and the Supreme Court of the United States inc. was started.
I know this has to be bullshit. Where can I find sources proving none of this happened.
Not history answers, but it may be easier to find a new job than change the mind of people who have drifted away from reality. A. The Constitution is a multi-party agreement or treaty (not really a severable contract) and remained in force because multiple states stayed in the Union. Because people walk out of a movie does not mean the remaining people can't watch. B. The Constitution remained in force for those who did not secede and the others rejoined the contract after the war. C. The Supreme Court has continuity and the name phrasing is just double talk.
