Followup question, I didn't see this in the FAQ. What were Hitler's religious beliefs? Was his hatred of Jews religiously motivated?

Religion was secondary to political ideology in Nazi Germany although they peddled the "Believer in God" propaganda.

The Nazis indeed imposed themselves on churches during 1933-34 to make them have a stance on Hitler and his party. They pushed for the creation of a Reichskirche: a ‘state church’ that was loyal to Nazism and subordinate to the state.

The result was that some churches, mainly Protestant, supported Hitler whilst the Catholic churches didn't.

Hitler and the Nazis did not get an entirely well with the Catholic Church. A little research into that should shed some light on more of the sort of answers you are looking for.
