I had a look at the book list but they were all for post-colonial Australia. I was wondering if there were any good history books about the peoples of Australia before colonisation though.
Could try looking through
Urbanizing Frontiers: Indigenous Peoples and Settlers in 19th-century Pacific Rim Cities. By Penelope Edmonds
It has some outlook of native life pre-and post colonization, compares vancouver canada and melbourne australia. You might have more luck looking for modern anthropology books.
You may be interested in First Footprints. The documentary series it's based on was great, so if you can track down that down, I'd recommend it. Unfortunately the full episodes are no longer available on their website.
