What is a good book on Viking history with an emphasis on Northern France?

The World of the Vikings by Hall seems to be more about the Viking village, which is interesting and I may read it later. However, right know I am more interesting in the whole history of Viking conquests and explorationns, especially their history in modern day Normandy, France.

Not a historian.

From what I have looked into, it seems like you'll be looking for two different books. The Vikings and then Normandy, in which the Vikings living there where actually given land and became vassals of the French Crown. Something that they readily accepted.

I haven't read it yet but this is the book I have slatted for the Vikings (although my preference is High-Middle) but I haven't delved into at all and I don't know how Norman focused it will be or if this is the right book for you. The Hammer and the Cross: A New History of the Vikings - Robert Ferguson

This might be of help for Norman formulization: Predatory Kinship and the Creation of Norman Power, 840-1066 - Eleanor Searle

Hope someone flair-ed can come in and give you/us a better suggestion. Good luck.
