Were the kingdoms in Europe ready both politically and military to fight off an Arab invasion had they defeated Charles Martel at the Battle of Tours in 732?

that all depends on what you think the threat of invasion was. it seems the recent consensus is Europe wasn't actually in danger contra Gibbon and most older historians. Either way the Arab force of 732 was pretty overextended by Tours and wouldn't have been able to press forward that year if they had won.
